Weather Update: There is a high probability of isolated areas of heavy rainfall across Puducherry and North coastal Tamil Nadu. Lightning and thunderstorms are probably present in scattered areas over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Puducherry, and East Madhya Pradesh.Very probable, there will be few patches of dense fog over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and North Rajasthan. Squally conditions are expected to remain across the Southwest Bay of Bengal, along and off the coast of north Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, with wind speeds of 50–60 kmph with gusts to 70 kmph. squally wind with gusts up to 60 kmph over the southeast, central Bay of Bengal, and along and off the coast of south Andhra Pradesh. It is advised that fishermen avoid these regions.

Shift in temperature of these regions

The majority of locations in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura; numerous locations in Assam, Meghalaya, Vidarbha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim; a few locations in Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam, Marathwada, Telangana; and isolated locations in Gangetic West Bengal have maximum temperatures above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C). In certain areas of Bihar and Jharkhand, they are below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C), but in other regions of the nation, they are close to normal. Goa has recorded the highest recorded temperature of 34.2°C today (Konkan & Goa).
