Weather Update: Heavy Rain in Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore, Check Conditions in Delhi and Lucknow

Weather Update: Over the northern region of India, thundershowers are predicted by the India Meteorological Department for today. Over Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh(including Lucknow), the weather forecast is for mild to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms. It predicts rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura. Cities like Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore would also see rainfall today. There is a chance of rain, thunderstorms and strong winds in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. In Delhi, the nation's capital, the meteorological service has issued a yellow alert for May 12. The Meterological Department predicted that Delhi would see mostly cloudy skies and light rain.

According to IMD, there is a very good chance of isolated areas of heavy rainfall in Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka. There is a good chance that several areas of Maharashtra will see hot weather. Dust storm or thunderstorm is highly likely to occur in areas over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi. Thundershowers and hailstorm are very likely in selected locations of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and other parts of the nation.
