Weather Update: It is quite probable that there may be isolated areas of heavy rainfall in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana. Thunderstorm with lightning and strong winds (30–40 kmph) over Telangana, Kerala, and possibly Vidarbha in isolated areas. Over West Central, a gale with winds of 65–75 kmph with gusts up to 85 kmph is expected to persist. Bay of Bengal and along and off Bapatla district; 55–65 kmph with gusts up to 75 kmph along and off remaining south Andhra Pradesh coast districts during the next six hours; thereafter, the wind speed will drop. The coast of north Andhra Pradesh is experiencing squally winds with gusts of up to 65 kmph. These conditions are expected to persist for the next six hours. On December 6, there is probably dense fog in a few isolated areas over Punjab during the morning hours.

Know about the Delhi’s AQI

Delhi’s air quality declined even further yesterday morning, to “very poor.” The AQI was measured at 310 yesterday. Delhi has had “severe” to “very poor” air quality over the past few weeks due to high pollution levels. Nonetheless, following a light downpour in several areas of the Delhi-National Capital Region, there has been a minor improvement in the air pollution levels. Light rains fell in some parts of Delhi-NCR, providing much-needed relief to the residents who have been struggling with elevated levels of air pollution.
