Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts rainfall across multiple regions of northwest and south India in the coming days. Today itself, Tamil Nadu and Kerala will experience heavy to hefty rainfall. Concurrently, a wet weather pattern will persist in Northwest India until Tuesday. Meanwhile, schools and colleges have been shut in various districts across Kerala.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected in numerous areas, accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning. The regions to be affected include Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab. Furthermore, similar weather conditions are likely to persist in select areas of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on Sunday and Monday, with isolated rainfall expected in the region on Tuesday.
Delhi
Cloudy conditions are predicted to persist in the national capital for the entire day. Isolated thunderstorms will lash the region post-afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 21 degrees with humidity at 63%.
Mumbai
IMD has forecast Mumbai and its suburbs will remain partially cloudy the entire day. Not much change is anticipated in the daily conditions. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees with humidity at 68%.
Chennai
Chennai has been predicted to remain mostly cloudy until the afternoon, with some regions also receiving thunderstorms. However, the conditions will turn generally pleasant in the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 76%.
Kolkata
The latest update for Kolkata states an entirely sunny day. Weather conditions will remain similar for the entire week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees with humidity at 64%.
