Weather Update: Prediction from IMD of heavy rainfall in these states

It is probable that there will be isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over Kerala and Mahe, as well as isolated areas of heavy rainfall over Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. There is a high probability of isolated thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) across Kerala and Mahe. There is also a chance of isolated thunderstorms with lightning over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Winds of 40–45 kmph with gusts up to 55 kmph are predicted to blow over and off the shores of South Karnataka and Kerala, which border the Lakshadweep region. It is advised that fishermen avoid these regions.

Classes suspended; these vehicles has been banned

The NCR State Governments and GNCTD have the authority to decide whether to stop holding in-person classes for classes VI–IX and XI and instead conduct instruction online. The use of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel LMV (4 wheelers) has been outlawed. Additionally, the use of diesel-powered medium- and heavy-goods vehicles (MGVs) and trucks registered in Delhi would be prohibited, with the exception of those transporting necessities or offering necessary services. The more stringent regulations prohibit the entry of trucks.
