Weather Update 'High Flood Alert' in Delhi, Haryana; Light rains expected nationwide

Weather Update: Amid nonstop rains in Delhi-NCR, the Yamuna river has reached the ‘High Flood’ Alert. This comes a day after the national capital was beginning to get relief from the rainfall. The water level at the barrage rose above the 2,95,000 cusecs mark. Above 1,50,000, it is considered to be low flood alert and anything that ranges between 1,50,000 to 2,50,000 cusecs, is counted as medium.

However, from the last two days, the weather has been taking significant changes with clear sky and no rainfall all around. Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh seem to be the most in a sudden dry change after consecutive days of rain.

Delhi

There will be a partly cloudy sky with low to nil chances of rainfall. It is predicted that the weather i surrounding areas of Delhi-NCR is also going to be same.

Mumbai

IMD in the latest update has said that the city and suburbs will remain generally cloudy throughout the day. Thunderstorms and rainfall are predicted for the next 48 hours.

Chennai

The sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy. Isolated areas could receive rainfall. However, there is no severe weather alert.

North India

With the constant change in cyclonic circulation, weather in North India is expected to remain the same as yesterday. West UP and Bihar could receive light showers. While, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Rajasthan are expected to see a clear sky.

Northeast India

Scattered rainfall is predicted for Assam, Sikkim, & Meghalaya with isolated areas receiving heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

West India

Gujarat, Maharashtra, and neighbouring states are expected to receive light rainfall.

South India

States including Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu are predicted to have a clear sky. However, there is a strong possibility of light rains.
