Weather Update: IMD alert, rain outburst expected in these parts of the country

Weather Update: The tentative end date for the monsoon season has arrived. Meanwhile, torrential rains continue to fall in many states. Rain has caused flood-like conditions from UP in the north to Kerala in the south. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather warning for the next few days. According to the IMD, torrential rains are expected to continue for the next four days over South Peninsular India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Northeast India. North-West and Central India will experience less rain at the same time.

Heavy Rainfall alert in these States

For the next five days, the Meteorological Department predicts moderate rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya. Rain is expected in southern Madhya Pradesh on August 31 and September 1, and in Bihar between August 31 and September 2. At the same time, moderate rain has been forecast in the western Himalayan region until September 3. Similarly, torrential rains have been predicted for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on September 4, 2022.

Weather in Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, good rain is possible in Bihar from August 30 to September 3. Weather agency says that torrential rains are possible in the state until September 2. There is also a fear of lightning, which is accompanied by strong winds. The IMD issued an alert, advising residents in the warning areas to remain indoors. Due to lightning, three people died in Gaya district, two in Rohtas, and one each in Aurangabad and Kaimur.

East Uttar Pradesh will receive rain

The situation is bad due to floods in about 18 districts of Uttar Pradesh. This has been attributed to water released from dams in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The flood situation in UP also remains bad. Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have experienced heavy rains this season. The commissioner’s office reported that 2,31,026 people from 959 villages in 12 districts of the state are affected. Even today, there is a chance of rain in some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Rain continues in Kerala

Rain continued to fall in many parts of Kerala on Wednesday. The weather agency has forecast rain or thundershowers in most parts of Kerala and Lakshadweep till September 3 due to cyclonic circulation near West Vidarbha in Tamil Nadu and Telangana, Rayalaseema. The IMD has issued a ‘Yellow’ warning in 14 districts, forecasting rain in most parts of the state.
