Weather Update: As heavy rainfalls hit different regions in India, the weather office advised farmers to delay the harvest of mustard in Punjab and Haryana, and wheat and pulses in central Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Although the downpour helped bring relief from the scorching heat, it also caused concerns for farmers who had to quickly safeguard their crops. The department has also forecast that from Monday rains will begin to lash the North-East region.
The Department has also informed that the weather will continue to remain similar for majority parts of the country for the next five days. From Delhi to Kolkata and Chennai, the rains will continue to lash several states. The rainfall activity will increase with heavy downpours today and tomorrow in almost every plains of the country such as Delhi, UP, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu.
Delhi
The national capital is predicted to be lashed by heavy rains today. Throughout the day, clouds will engulf the city and the temperature will decrease as a result. This trend in weather will continue for five days more. For today, the maximum temperature will be 26 degrees while the minimum will be 17 degrees.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs are predicted to remain clear and pleasant today. Isolated regions could experience few light showers. Upcoming days will also remain clear. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees.
Chennai
Moderate rains are predicted to lash the city today. Although heavy downpour is forecast during the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and minimum will be 26 degrees.

Kolkata
As per the latest weather update, moderate to heavy rains are predicted over Kolkata. The intensity will increase from tomorrow and the rains will mostly be heavier along with hailstorm. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees and minimum will be 23 degrees.
