Weather Update: States around the nation are experiencing a dramatic change in weather patterns. While certain South Indian regions are still experiencing rain, there was a start of light cold weather in North India. Some parts in the hilly states are experiencing mild rain and snowfall.

The low pressure region over southwest Bay of Bengal is transitioning into a clearly visible low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal and surrounding parts of northeast Sri Lanka, according to the Meteorological Department. As a result, South Peninsular India will experience rainy weather on November 12 and 13. Schools and Colleges have been already closed in many districs owing to heavy rain.

Delhi

The national capital region has started to be more chilly in mornings and night already. For today, a clear weather ispredicted, however, some parts will experience fog as well. The maximum temperature will be 28 degress while minimum will be 16 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs will continue to have a partially cloudy day. As per the latest weather update, the chances of rain are close to nil. The maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.

Chennai

As mentioned above, Tamil Nadu is already bracing itself with heavy rains. Consequently, heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected to hit the city. Educational institutes have been shut until 13th of November. The maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees.

Which state to receive rain today?

The Meteorological Department has provided information indicating that Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal may experience heavy to very heavy rains today and tomorrow. Over South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka, in addition to this, there may be isolated light rain. After 24 to 48 hours, Lakshadweep may experience an increase in rainfall intensity.

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Coastal Karnataka, will receive isolated rains with a chance of lightning. Extremely heavy rainfall is possible in isolated places of north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
