Weather Update: IMD predicts monsoon can reach Jharkhand, Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh in the next 2-3 days

In some states including the capital Delhi, people have got relief from the heat due to rain, while in many states, the weather is still burning hot. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has released an update regarding the weather for the next 5 days. According to IMD, monsoon can reach Jharkhand, Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh in the next 2-3 days.

The weather office said that the monsoon is likely to advance further into parts of south peninsular India, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh in 2-3 days.

Monsoon forecastThe Meteorological Department has said in its forecast that “advance of southwest monsoon to some more parts of south peninsular India, some parts of Odisha, some more parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during next two-three days.” Conditions are favorable to move forward.

Along with this, there is a possibility of moderate rain and lightning in different parts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Kanchipuram. Due to rain, traffic can also be disrupted along with waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Monsoon delayed due to Biparjoy

The onset of monsoon in Kerala was delayed by about a week due to Cyclone Biperjoy. Biparjoy has now become weak and focused on Rajasthan. It may weaken further in the next 12 hours, as a result of which there is a possibility of heavy rains in parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh till Wednesday.

The Meteorological Department has said in its forecast that there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in East Rajasthan and North-West Madhya Pradesh till Wednesday. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in southwest Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday and Wednesday. The department said that the maximum temperature is expected to fall by 3-5 degree Celsius over Madhya Pradesh and East India during the next 5 days.
