Weather update: IMD predicts respite from heartwave with rain spells in north and northwest India, check out complete forecast here

Weather update: Amid the scorching heat conditions in north and northwest India, several regions are expected to witness rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. between May 24 and May 26, rain spells can lash out the North India. Due to the effect of a fresh western disturbance, there will be much respite from the blistering heat. Meanwhile, rain spells continue to thrash several parts of northeast India. 

Delhi weather update

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the maximum temperature on Tuesday is expected to hover around 43 degrees Celsius in Delhi, while the minimum temperature in the national capital will be recorded at 29 degrees Celsius. It has also forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle later in the day. 

Mumbai weather update

The sun has been soaring in Mumbai for the past few days. The Mumbaikars will not have any respite from the rising temperature even today. The weather department has predicted that the temperature will rise in the city of Mumbai in the next few days as well.

Kolkata weather update

Kolkata is currently witnessing wet spells with the maximum temperature rising as high as 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature draping to 27 degrees Celsius. Rain like conditions are expected to remain in the city this week.  

Chennai weather update

The sea breeze over the city has kept the temperature in check. Today, the maximum temperature in the city will soar up to 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will be recorded at 29 degrees Celsius.
