Weather Update: A chilly wave is sweeping over North India. Although there is some relief from the thick fog, Delhi-NCR is experiencing chilly winds. Many areas of the nation, including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab, are still experiencing a cold wave at the same time. The Meteorological Department predicts that for the next three days, cold winds will continue to torment numerous states.

North Indian states are under a weather alert from the meteorological department. The Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, and North Rajasthan regions will remain in a cold wave for the next five days. It's possible that the fog in these states will make it difficult to see at this time. The public has been urged to drive safely at all times. However, Northeast India is also also suffering from the torment of fog. For the upcoming five days, the northeastern states may expect to see intense fog and subfreezing temperatures.

Delhi

The national capital experienced decent relief from the fog in comparison to other North Indian states from two previous days. Today also the impact of fog and cold wave will be significant, though. For today, the maximum temperature will be 17 degrees, while the minimum will be 5 degrees.

Mumbai

IMD predicts Mumbai to follow similar steps as it did in last few days. The sky will be clear but humidity will show its presence in the city and its suburbs. However, there are no chances of rain or severe weather change. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 22 degrees.

Chennai

As per the latest weather update, Chennai is predicted to remain sunny throughout the day, though temperatures will continue to remain similar. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees.

Kolkata

Kolkata is likely to remain on ease hands when it comes to weather changes. Latest weather forecast states that the city will continue to be sunny today as well. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 27 degrees and minimum will be 15 degrees.

Within the next 24 hours, it is possible that portions of Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi may see dense to extremely dense fog. In some areas of Punjab, Haryana, and northern Rajasthan, there is a chance of cold wave conditions. In some areas of Punjab, some areas of Haryana, and some areas of North Rajasthan, cold daytime temperatures can be seen. Rain will only fall in coastal Andhra Pradesh and certain areas of coastal Tamil Nadu; the rest of the country's weather will stay dry.
