Weather Update: Strong western disturbances are present across Afghanistan, according to a meteorological advisory provided by scientist Soma Sen of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Thunderstorms Forecast in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh

It is predicted that there will be significant thunderstorms in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, which will be characterised by powerful gusty winds and hail. Likewise, those in western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana should prepare for strong thunderstorms that could bring hail and damaging winds.

Inclusion of North-East India in the Forecast

The forecast also includes north-east India, where the weather system is likely to continue eastward and bring with it significant rainfall. It is anticipated that the intensity of the rainfall would rise over the region with this progression.
