Weather Update: Cyclone Biparjoy is bringing monsoon to different parts of India and people are getting relief from heat waves. Now, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that the monsoon will hit Eastern India by this week. Several reports suggest that the eastern India will witness heavy rainfall in the upcoming two or three days. IMD also predicted that the states Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Odisha, West Bengal, and Telangana will have to face heat waves for several days but it can end in the next week as the monsoon coming.
The cyclone biparjoy brought heavy rainfall to different parts of Rajasthan on June 17. Up till 5.30 p.m., Sirohi recorded 37.5 millimeters of rain, compared to 36 millimeters for Jalore, 33.6 millimeters for Barmer, 26.6 millimeters for Bikaner, 13 millimeters for Dabok, 12.5 millimeters for Dungarpur, and 10.5 millimeters for Jodhpur.
Delhi
The national capital is likely to face heat waves as the maximum temperature will be 38 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 28 degrees. However, IMD predicted heavy rainfalls in Delhi-NCR and the weather will be partly cloudy in several areas.
Mumbai
Mumbai is likely to face thunderstorms today as the weather forecast predicted that the Mumbaikars will start their morning with rainfall. The precipitation will be 30% in several areas and the temperature will be between 32 and 29 degrees.
Chennai
The city will get relief from heat waves as the weather forecast shows thunderstorms for the city from midnight to the morning and afternoon. The temperature will be between 36 to 28 degrees and the sky will be partly cloudy for the day.
