Weather Update: From today onwards, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a rise in rainfall intensity across eastern and northeastern India. IMD’s projections indicate the potential for extensive heavy rainfall in regions such as Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Assam, and Meghalaya until August 23.
Isolated regions in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya are anticipated to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. There is a projection of heavy rainfall at isolated spots in East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.

Delhi
IMD has forecast relief for the national capital today. The day will begin with mostly cloudy sky while some isolated regions could also experience light showers. Majority of Delhi-NCR will remain engulfed in clouds. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 87%.
Mumbai
Mumbai will experience scattred showers in the morning. However, the remaining day is projected to have light drizzles and mostly cloudy sky. The rainfall will become intense by the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 85%.
Chennai
Chennai is projected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day. Scatterd thunderstorms with moderate rainfall will lash the city in the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 81%.
Kolkata
The latest forecast by the IMD indicates that Kolkata will continue to experience scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Relief is unlikely in the region. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 82%.
