Weather Update: According to the Meteorological Department, chilly day to nail biting cold day temperatures will probably be prevalent during the next two days across North India, along with dense to very dense fog. The fog will unease the situation in North India. But just after two days, it will begin to lessen and there will be relief. According to IMD, North-West India won’t experience any significant changes over the next two days. Thereafter, there will be a two-degree Celsius increase in the minimum temperature. In addition, a cold wave to severe cold wave warning is in effect for North-West India for the next two days.

As per the reports of IMD, there is a high probability of dense to very dense fog in certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh and Bihar; there may also be dense fog in a few isolated pockets over Uttarakhand and Rajasthan; some areas over Himachal Pradesh, East Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura are predicted to have dense to very dense fog. IMD also stated that there is a high probability of cold day to severe cold day conditions in certain areas of west Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Rajasthan; there is also a high probability of cold day conditions in some areas of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim; in isolated pockets over East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh.
