Weather Update: The month of December is almost through, yet the mountains are still hoping of significant snowfall. Although several states are now suffering from the cold. The minimum temperature has been between 5 and 9 degrees Celsius in portions of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan, Western UP, and Madhya Pradesh.
Fog and a cold wave have also begun to wreak havoc as the temperature drops in various areas. A cold wave may be present today in some parts of Punjab, North Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has predicted.
In addition, the IMD predicts that rainy weather could begin in southern Tamil Nadu today i.e. December 19 and steadily worsen. The rest of the country will continue to have dry weather. Northeastern India’s Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh are predicted to get some moderate fog.
Delhi
IMD has predicted that the national capital will remain sunny. However, only addition is, that fog will engulf the city during the early morning and late night. The cold is likely to increase in the upcoming days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 23 degrees while the minimum will be 9 degrees.
Mumbai
As per the latest weather update, Mumbai will remain partly-cloudy with significant haze covering the city throughout the day. Also, similar weather patterns are predicted for the upcoming days. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.
Chennai
The city is eyeing for severe rains beginning tomorrow morning or even by today’s night. For today, the sky will remain pretty much cloudy while the rains will start to lash the city from tomorrow. Rains are likely to lash the city for several upcoming days. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 28 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.
Kolkata
IMD has predicted that the Bengal’s capital will remain pleasant throughout. Also, there isn’t much of change in the weather conditons of the city. For today, the maximum temeprature will be 27 degrees and minimum will be 16 degrees.
