Weather update: After days of a scorching heatwave, there will be some relief for Delhiites as the weather forecast predicted cloudy skies and gusty wind to bring the temperature down. The IMD has issued an orange alert for hailstorms and rain alerts for Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Chandigarh.
“From today temperature will decrease and it will be cloudy. There is a possibility of heavy rains in the hilly areas for the next 2-23 days. There are chances of storms in east India as well,” IMD said.
Due to a western disturbance, a period of wet spell is likely over some parts of Northwest India, IMD said.
Delhi weather update
An orange alert has been issued for Delhi with the national capital and its adjoining areas expected to experience heavy to moderate rainfall. The maximum temperature in the city will be recorded at 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to drop as low as 23 degrees Celsius.
Mumbai weather update
Mumbai is expected to witness a cloudy morning with light rainfall for the next 2 days. The minimum temperature in the city will be ay 29 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperate is expected to soar as high as 33 degrees Celsius.
Kolkata weather update
The IMD has predicted rainfall with thunderstorms and gutsy winds in the city during the next three days. It will be a cloudy day with the maximum and minimum temperatures at 39 and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Chennai weather update
The skies across the Tamil Nadu capital will be clear. The humidity is expected to be at 78 per cent. The minimum and maximum temperatures will be at 36 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.
