The Jammu-Srinagar highway was completely blocked and IMD Weather Update issued red alert in 7 districts of Himachal Pradesh including Manali.
Weather Update: IMD has issued a yellow alert for several states, including Delhi-NCR. The metrological department has also stated that the rain that Delhi is facing right now is not monsoon but pre-monsoon.
IMD has issued heavy to extremely heavy rainfall warnings in several states, including the whole seven sisters, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan.
According to Metrological Department, the rain will continue in Delhi for a few more days, resulting in a temperature drop. Experts also stated that this year's situation is different because of cyclone Biparjoy and the same can't be expected every year.
Weather Update: Mumbai
Just like Delhi, Mumbai will also face monsoon for a few more days now. The humidity will also fall, and the temperature will also see a drastic change. The temperature for today will be between 30 degrees to 27 degrees.
Chennai
IMD has predicted rainfall and thunderstorm in isolated parts of Chennai for a few more days. The clouds will keep the temperature in check while the weather is calm right now. Today’s temperature will be between 36 degrees, going as low as 28 degrees.
Kolkata
Kolkata can also witness thundershowers, with temperatures being around 32 degrees to 27 degrees. The weather will be calm, and citizens can enjoy a peaceful outing in this pleasant weather. But beware heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated areas in the coming days.
