Weather Update: Rain alert over Southern India-Assam to Mizoram, dry weather in North India

Weather Update: Due to the states of North India experiencing less rain, there has been relief from flood and landslide incidents from the mountains to the plains. North Indian states continue to experience dry weather. The southern states, on the other hand, are still experiencing moderate to heavy rains. Many states, including Assam and Mizoram, are still under a rain warning for today, September 5.

The North South Trough extends from the cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep to North Madhya Maharashtra via Konkan, according to the weather forecasting agency Skymet. From circulation, an East-West Trough extends to the South-East Bay of Bengal.

Weather in Delhi

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in the national capital Delhi today, September 5, will be 27 degrees Celsius, with a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. The sky over Delhi may remain partly cloudy, but no rain is expected. At the same time, Lucknow’s minimum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius and its maximum temperature will be 36 degrees Celsius.

Possibility of rain over These States

During the next three days, heavy rain and thundershowers/lightning are expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, as well as Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Simultaneously, good rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh on September 5. Aside from that, rain will fall less heavily on the plains of Northwest and Central India over the next five days.

Weather condition for next 24 hours

According to the weather update agency, moderate rain will fall in isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Lakshadweep, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands over the next 24 hours. There is a chance of heavy rain. Widespread rain may fall in many parts of the southern peninsula.
