Weather Update: Heavy rains are forecasted across multiple regions in India. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh are all expected to experience significant rainfall. In these areas, the weather conditions will be characterized by heavy downpours.

Furthermore, widespread showers accompanied by thunderstorms are likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. These regions can expect widespread and continuous rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms.

In addition, fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms is expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Vidharbha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep. These areas will experience rainfall that is moderately spread out, with occasional thunderstorms. Scattered showers accompanied by thunderstorms are predicted in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. These regions will experience intermittent rainfall that is scattered across various locations.

Delhi

IMD has forecast scattered thunderstorms and cloudy weather in the national capital today. Relief is unlikely from the rains for a couple of days more. While humidity is projected to remain at 65%, the maximum temperature will be 27 degrees and the minimum will be 21 degrees.

Mumbai

Mumbai and its suburbs will remain partly overcast today. Although, a major part of the day is likely to remain sunny. Humidity will be 63%. The maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.

Chennai

Thunderstorms, cloudy sky, and moderate rainfall will continue to lash the city today. The rainfalls are forecast to continue for the week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 30 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.

Kolkata

After a long weekend of rainfall, IMD has said that Kolkata will likely be at relief today. Although, moderate cloud cover will still be present. Humidity will remain at 55% while the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 26 degrees.
