Weather Update: Rain-gods to continue their havoc in South, Coldwave gears up for North India, complete forecast here

Weather Update: Most regions of the nation, particularly North India, are experiencing a drop in temperature. The minimum temperature in North West India may dip between 2 and 4 degrees Celsius over the next two days, according to the IMD. During the following two to three days, however, there won't be any noticeable change in central India's temperature.

Several portions of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and North Rajasthan may experience a three-day cold wave from December 16–18, according to a warning from the meteorological department. In addition, the minimum temperature is expected to fall during the next few days.

Delhi

IMD has predicted that the national capital will be partially cloudy during the morning but it will change by afternoon. No major change is expected apart from that. For today, the maximum temperature will be 24 degrees while the minimum will be 9 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs will likely experience hazy weather today. Chances of rain happening are close to nil however. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees.

Chennai

Continuing the relief days, Chennai will have a clear sky today with some periodic clouds. Rains will possibly hit the city from next week. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 29 degrees while minimum will be 23 degrees.

Kolkata

Despite significant changes in the weather nationwide, Kolkata continues to have its pleasant weather. As per latest weather update, maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 14 degrees.

Over Tamil Nadu and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, there will probably be light to moderate rain with the possibility of one or two heavier falls. Andhra Pradesh could have light to moderate rain. The states of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa, inland Karnataka, and eastern sections of Gujarat may get light precipitation as well.
