Weather Update: According to IMD, the northern hill states might see significant snowfall of the year, which would be a relief for the north Indian plains, who have been suffering from an exceptionally dry winter. On the second day, Delhi can have unexpected rain and thunderstorms, which would compound the problems already encountered by those suffering the hard winter. Rainfall and snowfall activities are also possible in the Western Himalayan Regions, which include Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released orange advisories for snow and rain that include Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi.

According to IMD, on February 3, 2024, isolated areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are likely to see severe to extremely dense fog conditions in the morning. On February 3, 2024, there's a good chance that isolated areas of Uttarakhand, north Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha could see dense fog in the morning. There is a high probability of isolated thunderstorms with lightning, hail, and wind gusts over West Rajasthan; Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh; Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and West Madhya Pradesh; and isolated thunderstorms with lightning, hail, and wind gusts (speed 30–40 kmph).
