Weather Update: Rains in South, excess cold in North; India's contrasting weather marks December's arrival

Weather Update: Since the beginning of December, the weather has changed across the northern Indian states, including Delhi-NCR. The sensation of winter has begun to intensify with the recent dip in temperature. The mornings are foggy in some places, such as Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, while smog and haze are visible in many other locations. Due to the drop in temperature and slow wind speed, pollution levels are also decreasing at the same time.

There may be light rain in Puducherry and seven districts of Tamil Nadu on December 8 as a result of a low-pressure system developing in the Southeast Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. The Meteorological Department has provided this information. Strong winds and heavy rains are forecast for this time period, according to IMD.

Delhi

The national capital is predicted to be sunny for the day. There are no chances of any kind of cloud cover in the city. However, the weather is likely to remain cold-ish despite being shiny and bright. For today, the maximum temperature will be 25 degrees while the minimum will be 12 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs are predicted to follow the similar weather pattern like the previous days. The chances of rain and cloud cover are close to nil. Also, there is likely to be no change in the few upcoming days as well. The maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees.

Chennai

Chennai is predicted to be partly cloudy with minimal chances of rain affecting the city. There will be isolated sunlight during the day. The rains will lash the city from Thursday onwards. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.

Kolkata

Kolkata is predicted to remain on the similar tracks of weather as not much change is predicted in the latest weather update as well. Partial cloud cover could impact the city on Tuesday. The maximum temperature for today will be 28 degrees while the minimum will be 16 degrees.
