Weather Update: The cold has begun to get worse as a result of a drop in temperature in North India. While this is happening, South India is still experiencing rain. The low pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal, according to the Meteorological Department, has now grown stronger and is now a deep low pressure. By today, December 8, it is very likely to intensify into a cyclone and move west-northwestward toward the coasts of Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh.
The Meteorological Department predicts that starting on December 9, Jammu and Kashmir and the surrounding areas could experience a new Western Disturbance. As a result, the plains and low-lying areas may experience light rainfall over the next two days, while higher terrain may experience light to moderate snowfall.
Delhi
The Meteorological Department predicts that Delhi will experience a minimum temperature of 8 degrees and a maximum temperature of 25 degrees today. In addition, Delhi will have some fog today. Air quality will continue to remain under the ‘poor’ category.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs are predicted to be partially cloudy. However, there is not much difference between the air quality of Delhi and Mumbai, as both currently fall in the poor category. The maximum temperature for today will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 22 degrees.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai will experience fairly widespread rains today. The rains will continue to lash the city for several upcoming days. The intensity is also likely to get increased by the weekend. The maximum temperature for today will be 26 degrees while the minimum will be 22 degrees.
Kolkata
IMD predicts that Kolkata will be partly cloudy for the day. However, humidity is also likely to remain on a higher level. The maximum temperature for today will be 27 degrees while the minimum will be 16 degrees.

Which state will experience rainfall today?
