Weather Update: Rains to play spoilsport During Independence Day 2023 Celebrations? Heavy Rainfall Expected in Multiple Regions!

Weather Update: On Independence Day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a predominantly cloudy sky for Delhi-NCR, along with the potential occurrence of "very light rain or thunderstorms" during the evening. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are expected to experience heavy rainfall.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (with speeds of 30-40 kmph) are anticipated in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Thunderstorms with lightning are also predicted in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand.

Delhi

The national capital will begin the Independence Day with scattered thunderstorms pre-morning. However, the sky will later turn cloudy from the morning. Light showers are predicted during noon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 74%.

Mumbai

IMD has forecast light showers in Mumbai and its suburbs throughout the day. The sky will remain partly cloudy as well, indicating a pleasant weather. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 83%.

Chennai

Chennai is projected to remain partly cloudy while isolated thunderstorms will lash the city during the evening. No change is forecast in the region for a few days more. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 80%.

Kolkata

As per the latest weather update, Kolkata will continue to be lashed by continuous rains and thunderstorms. This weather pattern is likely to continue for a week more. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with the humidity at 87%.
