Isolated places in Uttarakhand, Jammu And Kashmir, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim may see thunderstorms, lightning, and hailstorms. Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are expected in isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
For the next one or two days, the eastern regions of India are expected to experience scorching temperatures as heatwaves are predicted to persist in these areas. According to the Met Office's update on Wednesday, states in Eastern India such as Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha are at risk of being affected by the heatwave.
