Weather Update: According to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) most recent weather forecast, Northwest India is expected to experience another heatwave that will bring with it extremely high temperatures. A period of heavy rain is predicted for the Southern region of the nation, with selected parts of rainfall and thundershowers. According to the IMD projection, Delhi’s highest temperature would reach about 43 degrees Celsius today. It is also anticipated that Delhi’s nights will get warmer during this time. The Delhi NCR is expected to have heat wave for today. For the next three days, the meteorological agency has predicted mild rain and thunderstorms in a number of Gujarati districts.There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the capital city of Tamil Nadu ( Chennai).

According to IMD, there will probably be isolated areas of significant rainfall in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. There’s a good chance that few areas of Rajasthan will experience heat waves. There is a high probability of hot weather conditions in Assam and Tripura and cities like Lucknow and Patna. There is a chance of thunderstorm and hailstorm which are likely in isolated locations over the parts of Maharashtra. The selected locations of Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka may see lightning & gusty winds (up to 40-50 kmph).

The lowest temperature in Delhi for 15th May is expected to have 27°C, while the highest recorded temperature is likely to be 40°C, as per IMD.
