Weather Update: Residents of Delhi-NCR awoke on Friday morning to mild rainfall, gloomy skies, and cool winds as other regions of the country were experiencing heavy rains and flood-like conditions.
The India Meteorological Department predicts that the national capital would experience more downpours during the day (IMD).

In the meantime, a warning has been issued for various states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh that from October 7 onwards f a heavy rainfall spell is beginning.
Delhi
The morning itself in Delhi were rainy and filled with a cold climate. In the latest update from IMD, the sky will remain generally cloudy and a few drizzles will also take place. Meanwhile, a few places can also experience heavy rainfall with thunderstorms.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs will experience moderate to fairly widespread rainfall with thunderstorms in isolated places.
Chennai
The sky is expected to remain cloudy while one or two places can also experience moderate rainfall with thnderstorms.
Will North India experience rainfall?
According to IMD, monsoon rain is possible in some areas of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and Haryana.

The IMD predicts that several regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may get light to heavy monsoon rain through October 9. Northeast India is likely to experience significant amount of rainfall in the upcoming weekend.
Which of the states are going to receive rainfall in the upcoming days?
Many states, including West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar, may see monsoon rain over the next few days, according to the Met Office.
Over the next two to three days, the weather forecasting organisation also projected significant rainfall for Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh. Also, quite possibly on Friday a few isolated areas will experience very heavy rainfall over coastal Andhra Pradesh.
