Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has anticipated heavy rainfall across multiple regions of the country. Following intense rainfall in northeastern India, Sikkim is forecasted to witness isolated heavy precipitation over the next two to three days. Additionally, the meteorological service has forecast that the rest of the country is expected to experience moderate rainfall activity throughout the upcoming week.
Isolated regions in Assam and Meghalaya could experience substantial to extremely heavy rainfall. Some areas in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan, and Goa are expected to encounter heavy rainfall. There is a chance of thunderstorms and lightning in specific areas of Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
Delhi
Delhi and its adjoining regions are forecast to remain mostly sunny the entire day. There are no chances of rainfall and the conditions will mostly remain hot & humid. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees with humidity at 72%.
Mumbai
The trend of light rains and showers will continue to lash Mumbai and its suburbs. No change is forecast either for the upcoming days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 28 degrees while the minimum will be 26 degrees with humidity at 91%.
Chennai
Chennai is forecast to receive scattered thundershowers throughout the day. The weather is likely to remain pleasant. However, it will turn hot & humid from tomorrow onwards. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 73%.
Kolkata
IMD has forecast a rather pleasant weekend for Kolkata. The day will remain mostly cloudy the entire day. However, the chances of rainfall are still close to nil. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees with humidity at 85%.
