Weather Update: The majority of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and north Rajasthan will see minimum temperatures between 4 and 8°C today, while the majority of Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and interior Odisha will see minimum temperatures between 8 and 12°C. On December 22 and 23, there is a chance of isolated light rainfall/snowfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and northwest Rajasthan. On December 23, there is a chance of isolated light rainfall over northeast Rajasthan and northwest Uttar Pradesh.

Over the next five days, there is a good chance of light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, and the Lakshadweep region. Very likely, there will be isolated pockets of dense to extremely dense fog over Punjab, and there may be isolated pockets of dense fog over Haryana, north Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, and Meghalaya, as well as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. The majority of the nation is expected to experience mostly dry weather, with the exception of the islands, where isolated, light rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
