Weather Update: The Meteorological Department reports that Tamil Nadu has experienced intense rain over the past 24 hours. In addition, there were hailstorms in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior and Bhind. In addition, it has rained in Maharashtra and Kerala. The Meteorological Department reports that cold winds are also blowing in the plains as a result of snowfall and light rain in hilly states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. There's a chance of more temperature drops and extreme cold because of the rain.

According to IMD, on January 11 and 12, 2024, there is a possibility of dense to extremely dense fog conditions for a few hours in the morning in certain areas of north Rajasthan, followed by a decrease. Dense fog conditions are expected to persist for a few hours in the morning over a few isolated pockets over the following states: Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, north Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, & Sikkim; over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Mizoram & Tripura during 11th-15th. On the 10th, there is a high probability of severe cold day conditions persisting in certain areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, and isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh. On the 11th, these conditions are expected to diminish to cold day conditions in certain areas and then subside.
