Weather Update: A cold wave over Northwest India is anticipated to end today, according to information released on Wednesday by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), which predicted that new western disturbances will strike the western Himalayan area from January 20 through January 26. On January 19 and 20, the temperature over North West India is anticipated to climb by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius, but there won't be any shift for at least three days.

On January 19, a lot of places in Himachal might experience heavy fog. While Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Bihar may see severe fog from January 18 through 20, the same is likely for Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura from January 18 through 21. Next week will witness rains and hailstorms in North India including Delhi, most likely from 22nd January to 25th January.

Delhi

IMD predicts that the effect of coldwave will start to lift up gradually beginning today. Though, fog and coldwaves will continue to affect natives somewhat today as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 18 degrees and minimum will be 9 degrees.

Mumbai

There is no major shift in the weather trends of the city and its suburbs. As per the latest weather update, haze will continue to be present. Though, the day will mostly be sunny and bright. The maximum and minimum temperatures for today are predicted to be 30 degrees and 19 degrees, respectively.

Chennai

Chennai is most likely to remain sunny. However, isolated areas might get affected by partial cloud cover. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.

Kolkata

Today in Kolkata is predicted to be sunny. After today, it's projected that the city's weather will stay similar for several upcoming days. Maximum and lowest temperatures are predicted to be 26 and 14, respectively, for today.

City-wise Weather Update

On January 20 and 21, mild to moderate isolated to scattered rain or snowfall is anticipated across Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand due to the western disturbance.
