Weather Update: Temperature Breaches 40-Degree Mark! Heatwave intensifies across nation, full forecast here

Weather Update: With the Mid-April inching closer, the weather across the nation has started to be warmer. The 40-degree Celsius mark has been already crossed in several states including Bihar, West Bengal, Gujarat, Odisha, etc. This rise in temperature has affected the normal livelihood and if reports are to be true, the condition is likely to worsen since a below-normal monsoon is predicted for this year. However, some isolated rain and thunderstorm are projected for the Mumbai region today.

April began on a wet note, however, since the western disturbance has passed by, there has been a rapid increase in temperature with a 3-5 degrees surge every new week. The heatwave is projected to get worse from the last week of April and reach its peak for the full of May. However, the monsoon then can prove to be a little relieving. Delhi

Mostly sunny and clear weather is on cards for the national capital. However, the morning will be partly overcast and will clearout from office hours. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 38 degrees and the minimum will be 24 degrees.

Mumbai

As per the latest weather update, the city and its suburbs will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day. Rains and thunderstorms are most likely to continue in patches throughout the day. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 36 degrees and minimum will be 25 degrees.

Chennai

IMD has predicted that Chennai will remain mostly sunny today and sky will also remain clear. This weather trend will continue in the region for a few days more, at least. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 35 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees.

Kolkata

As per the latest forecast, Kolkata will continue to experience more warmth today. Humidity will be higher while the sky will also remain clear. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 42 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.
