Weather Update: An imminent threat of severe weather which could cause disruptions to routine activities in few parts of the nation, which is indicated by a yellow alert now. The landslides between Jatinga-Lampur and New Harangajao have also caused railroad service to be disrupted. Some areas in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry and Karnataka are among the regions that could experience a heat wave on the aforementioned IMD. According to the IMD forecast, the Nation’s capital city, New Delhi is expected to see a rise in temperature today due to the clear sky. There will be also strong surface winds today in Delhi. There is a possibility of cloudy sky in Kolkata also.

According to IMD, there is a high probability of heat wave conditions in regions of Jharkhand, Odisha, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Bihar (including Patna) and Uttar Pradesh (including Lucknow). In the upper and eastern regions of the country including Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand(including Dehradun), Sikkim, Odisha, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, there is a probability of thundershowers with lightning. There is a good chance that Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Kerala, and Karnataka may have hot weather today.
