Weather Update: On Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning about heavy rainfall and hailstorms expected to occur at locations across various parts of the country over the next three days. In a statement, IMD said, "Heavy rainfall very likely in isolated regions of North-West India, Central India, South India, East-India and North-East India Hailstorm very likely in isolated regions of North-West India, Central, Eastern and Western of India."
Over the next five days, it is highly probable that maximum temperatures will be below normal or near normal across India. Furthermore, there is no indication of any heatwave conditions expected in any part of the country in the coming days. Rains will lash UP, Delhi, Punjab, Bihar, Northeast(heavily), Northwest, and South India i.e. Rains are predicted across the nation.
No relief is predicted for the national capital today as well. The latest forecast states that there will be heavy rain along with thunderstorms throughout the day. Humidity will remain at 74%. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 26 degrees while the minimum will be 21 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD has forecast a sunny and bright day for the city and its suburbs today. While humidity is likely to remain at 56%, no change is likely in the weather trends during the upcoming week. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.
Chennai
Heavy rains and thunderstorms are predicted to lash the city today as well. The whole week will remain in the same effect and rains will continue to lash the region. The maximum temperature for today will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees. Humidity will remain at 80%.
As per the latest weather update, Kolkata is predicted to remain mostly cloudy. Humidity is likely to remain at 77% with a few isolated patches of rain. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees.
