Weather Update: The national prediction from IMD states that isolated locations across multiple regions, including Maharashtra( Mumbai) are expected to experience thunderstorms with gusty winds. The meteorological office is predicting showers and thunderstorms in the following days, which should help to relieve the heatwave that has engulfed Pune and Maharashtra. According to the IMD, there is a cyclonic circulation over few parts of Bihar, and a trough extends from this circulation towards the northern region of Odisha. In addition to predicting further rain in the upcoming hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow signal for Delhi. The rainfall is also predicted for Kolkata and Bengaluru.

According to IMD, there is a chance of rainfall in few parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, West Bengal, Odisha and Karnataka. Kutch is predicted to experience hot weather. Dust storm or thunderstorm with gusty winds (40–50 kmph) is possibly present in scattered locations over Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh( including Lucknow). There are also isolated reports of gusty winds over some portions of Uttar Pradesh. In parts of Maharashtra, there may be isolated locations with hailstorm and lightning, and in Jammu and Kashmir, there may be isolated locations with wind gusts of up to 40–50 kmph.
