Weather Update: According to IMD, Gangetic West Bengal will see hot weather along with heatwave. Extremely hot weather is possible in a number of locations in many parts of the nation. In a recent reports, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted rainfall in West Bengal and Sikkim. In sections of Punjab and Haryana there can be lightning. Strong winds are predicted in Rajasthan and Chandigarh. The national capital, Delhi is expected to experience thunderstorms accompanied by rain, according to the Meteorological Department's yellow alert.

The IMD stated that, there is a high probability of rainfall or snowfall in upper regions of the nation including Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal. It is also predicted that Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram would also have rainfall today. Weather over the lower regions including Kerala and Karnataka are quite likely to be hot and warm. Heat wave is predicted over Odisha, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Telangana. It is also expected to have the same weather conditions over Gangetic West Bengal. It is expected that in certain cities of Northern regions including Lucknow and Patna would have a warm night with heatwave in the daytime.
