West Bengal News: The tall claims of West Bengal Chief Minister Banerjee that woman in the state are safe were shattered when a woman named Nasima Laskar was severely injured in Uttar Bhangankhali village of Kanthalberia panchayat in Basanti block.

West Bengal News: In a shocking incident, a woman named Nasima Laskar was severely injured in Uttar Bhangankhali village of Kanthalberia panchayat in Basanti block in the state of West Bengal.

What started the West Bengal News incident?

A small fight between two families led to one side throwing the other to the ground. Thereafter, a woman was beaten with bamboo sticks and other arms with men who were possibly from the ruling TMC party.

What happened next?

A first information report (FIR) was filed by the injured woman in the Basanti police station. The police have started the incident’s investigation.

BJP Leader Arpan Das expressed his anger, shock and disappointment on learning about the incident. Das alleged that women are not safe in West Bengal, which is state ruled by a woman Chief Minister.

In a post on X, the Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari said no woman is safe in the West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee. He added that the woman and her family members were brutally attacked in broad daylight with bamboo sticks in South 24 Parganas district.
