What are PM Modi’s plans for new and safe Jammu and Kashmir?

The development at ground level is still not visible even a year after the revocation of the 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi may announce some major projects in Jammu and Kashmir, which will include high-tech and environment-friendly ‘Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Ministry of Urban Development and Jammu and Kashmir administration are currently working on various developments in the Union Territory. Prime Minister is personally keeping an eye on the working commitee.

On August 5 exactly a year the historic revocation of 370 and 35A GC Murmu resigned from his L-G post in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP veteran leader Manoj Sinha is appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir after replacing GC Murmu.

The development includes a structure to restore the old charm of the valley.

“The area around Dal Lake is densely populated and its glory has diminished over the years. The threat of pollution and large-scale tourism have made it fragile and caused environment degradation. Further, there have been encroachments around the Lake. So, the plan will include reducing the heavy burden from the area around it,” a source said as quoted by Indian Express.

Many BJP leaders have claimed the valley had remained backward for the years only because of Article 370 and 35A. The BJP had already assured that the changes would bring the change and improve the infrastructure, grass-root democracy, and help the valley to fight against the terrorism spread by the neighbor.
