The beating of the political drums today in parliament created a heated political exchange when the Union Home Minister Amit Shah attacked Congress leader P. Chidambaram in his barrage of words as he criticised Chidambaram over his remarks in connection with questioning the origin of terrorists that took place in an encounter. Shah blamed the incumbent Home Minister for being a defender of Pakistan and compromising the security of India by challenging the intelligence results of India.

Responding to the media, Amit Shah asked a sharp question by stating, Who is he trying to save? When Chidambaram questioned whether the terrorists killed in a recent encounter were genuinely Pakistanis. The concrete evidence, said Shah, includes ID numbers of two of the voters and the terrorists and chocolates produced in Pakistan, which were found at a site.
His concern was when a high political officeholder made a statement, in his own words, of a clean chit given to Pakistan, and the nation was in a state of mourning, security men were killed, and fighting broke out with cross-border terrorists.
This has only widened the rift between the ruling BJP and the other Congress party, particularly when it comes to national security issues. Shah told the country that Chidambaram himself had been a Home Minister, and therefore, he ought to have learned not to criticize top-secret probes in public. It is because, as Shah commented, if they were not Pakistanis, why then did we assault Pakistan? Is he doubting the surgical strikes as well?” His statement has sparked a renewed debate regarding political responsibilities during the threat of terrorism.
Amit Shah made his harshest attack by saying that 130 crore people are witnessing your conspiracy to rescue Pakistan. The statement has been discussed on social media, and many netizens supported Shah due to his position. Shah again declared that the government will not allow any move to derail the anti-terror efforts for political scoring and once again proclaimed the Indian stance on cross-border terrorism.
