An action plan has been prepared to control the increase in road accidents on the Yamuna Expressway due to fog. For this, speed limit has been worked on the expressway. From December 15 to February 15, vehicles will run at a speed of 60 to 80 kilometers per hour on the Yamuna Expressway. This decision has been taken in view of the fog.

According to a report, every year between December 15 and February 15, there is an increase in road accidents on the Yamuna Expressway, the main reason for which is high speed and fog. Often, due to the high speed, the vehicles collide with other vehicles parked on the side. Although speed cameras are installed on the expressway, but in spite of this the speed is not controlled. Therefore, the Yamuna Expressway Authority has decided to reduce the speed limit.

Fine will have to be paid for speeding

At present, the speed limit for vehicles on Yamuna Expressway is 100 km/h. From December 15, the maximum speed limit will be 80 km/h for small vehicles and 60 km/h for heavy vehicles. This has been done because due to the high speed of heavy vehicles, they have to face difficulties in stopping suddenly. Anyone who does not follow this speed limit will be fined.
