Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of allegedly using old material to portray Punjab’s education system in a negative light.

In a social media post, Dhanda claimed that an old newspaper clipping was being presented as current information and alleged that the BJP’s objective was to “defame Punjab.”
Fake News Over Punjab Schools
Dhanda further challenged the BJP to show authentic videos of poorly maintained schools or drug-related issues in Punjab, arguing that the material being circulated does not reflect the current situation on the ground.
Sharing what he described as recent pictures of a school, the AAP leader said the images demonstrate the present condition of the institution. He also took a sarcastic swipe at BJP leader Bhai Bhandari over the controversy.
The remarks come amid an ongoing political debate in Punjab over school infrastructure, education reforms and the state’s drug problem, with rival political parties trading allegations over the government’s performance.
Dhanda’s comments are part of the AAP’s broader defence of the Punjab government’s education initiatives and its claims of improvements in government schools.
