Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda launched a sharp attack on the Haryana BJP government, accusing it of deceiving women through the recently launched ‘Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana.’
AAP Leader Anurag Dhanda Slams Haryana Government, Calls ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ a Betrayal to Women
Dhanda alleged that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had promised ₹2,100 per month to every woman in Haryana during the election campaign. However, after the scheme’s rollout, only about 4% of women have been included, while the remaining over one crore women have been left out.
“The government had announced financial support for all women, but now, under the so-called Lado Lakshmi Yojana, they have turned it into a Lado Chhalawa (betrayal) Yojana,” Dhanda said. He claimed that the scheme’s implementation is full of restrictive conditions deliberately designed to exclude most women from the benefits.
The BJP government made a promise to every woman in Haryana
He pointed out that under the current guidelines, only families with an annual income below ₹1 lakh are eligible — a condition that automatically disqualifies the majority. “This is a political stunt before elections. The BJP government made a promise to every woman in Haryana, but has now deceived them by setting impossible conditions,” he added.
Dhanda also demanded that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini clarify when the remaining over one crore women in Haryana will receive their promised ₹2,100.
The remarks have intensified the political debate in Haryana ahead of the polls, with AAP accusing the BJP of using welfare schemes as tools for electoral propaganda.
