Madhya Pradesh News: Long queues were witnessed across several cities and villages in the state of Madhya Pradesh. People gathered in thousands outside gas agencies and fuel pumps across the state despite assurance by Govind Singh Rajput, state’s Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister.

Due to panic buying, many fuel pumps in the state ran out of fuel supply. In Maharashtra and Telangana, long queues were also witnessed. N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the Civil Supplies Minister of Telangana, remarked that the state has sufficient reserves of diesel and petrol that would last for the upcoming three months and more.

In Maharashtra, the city of Vidarbha saw exceedingly high demand for petrol and diesel causing mass drying of fuel pumps as refills failed to match the pace of never-ending queues.

Sanjay Bhandari, the oil industry coordinator in Uttar Pradesh, urged people to engage in “sensible consumption.”
