Amarnath Yatra News: Advance Registration Slots Unlock April 15! Step-By-Step Aadhaar Biometric eKYC Explained Via Official Website

Amarnath Yatra: Interested devotees who want to attend the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 would have to submit a valid compulsory health certificate that is issued on or after April 8, 2026. The health certificate must be provided by an authorized doctor or a medical institution and a prescribed fee of Rs. 150 per permit needs to be paid.

Amarnath Yatra News: The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has announced that advance registrations for the annual Amarnath Yatra 2026 would start across 554 designated bank branches from April 15 in the country.

Amarnath Yatra News-How To Book Online?

A detailed step-by-guide procedure has been issued by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board for the benefit of pilgrims on its official website.

According to officials, the registration and issuance of travel permits for the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 would be conducted on a first-come, first-serve basis. This would be subjected to a fixed daily quota at every designated branch for each route.

Eligibility Requirements

Under the guidelines, only those individuals who are aged between 13 and 70 years would be eligible for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 registrations. Moreover, women with more than 7 weeks of pregnancy would not be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage even if the mandatory health certificate is possessed by them.

Registrations would be carried in real time via Aadhaar-based biometric eKYC authentication. Yatra permits would be generated online via the shrine board’s official portal.

As per the guidelines, a provision for manual data entry webcam-based photo capture would be used as a fall-back option in case technical issues during the process of biometric authentication are noticed.
