Terror threat looms over Amarnath Yatra, Security agencies on alert

Amarnath Yatra: As the Amarnath Yatra is about to begin in a month now, Security Agencies have been put on an alert fearing a terror attack. According to sources. Pakistan based terrorists are planning a terror attack on the Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources also said that the terrorists might target security forces and the convoy to disrupt the Yatra. Sources also reveal that the terrorists have been asked to perform the task by the ISI. The security forces are keeping a vigil on every part of the city and village and border areas. Director of the Kashmir Health Services also paid a visit to take a stock of the Healthcare Arrangements. He also visited the New Hospital Building which is under construction and reviewed the progress.

Restoration in Full Swing

The temple is situated in Jammu and Kashmir. The duration of the yatra lasts for 62 days and will conclude on August 31st. The restoration work of the Holy shrine are in full swing in South Kashmir. The Amarnath Yatra tracks were handed over to the BRO( Border Roads Organization ) in September 2022 last year for the maintenance and developmental work The basic work involved snow clearance, widening of the track, construction of walls , fixing of handrails etc. Officials said that over five lakh Pilgrims are expected to visit the shrine this year.
