Anurag Dhanda Claims Arvind Kejriwal Refused to Leave Police Station Without Detained Gen Z Protesters

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda has claimed that former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal refused to leave a police station until nearly 200 young protesters detained from different parts of Delhi were released.

In a social media post, Dhanda alleged that the protesters, whom he described as Gen Z, had been brought to the police station from various locations across the national capital. He further claimed that they had not been given anything to eat since morning.

Kejriwal Allegedly Insisted on Release of Young Protesters

According to Dhanda, the police informed Kejriwal in the evening that he could be released. However, Kejriwal allegedly insisted that the detained young protesters be released first and said he would leave only after they were allowed to go.

Dhanda claimed that the police eventually released all the detained protesters, following which Kejriwal left the police station along with his associates.

Anurag Dhanda Praises Kejriwal’s Stand

Praising Kejriwal’s reported decision, Dhanda described it as a defining quality of a people’s leader. His post presented the episode as an example of standing alongside young people facing police detention.

The claims were made in Dhanda’s social media post. The circumstances surrounding the detentions, the reason for the police action and the sequence of events were not independently established by the post itself.
