Anurag Dhanda: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anurag Dhanda has commended Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, saying he is bringing about a positive change in Punjab. Dhanda pointed out that the Mann government has already begun to show results with its commitment to education, healthcare, and the welfare of the common man throughout the state.
“Punjab is Changing for the Better”
When discussing the state of leadership in Punjab, Anurag Dhanda stated that for decades, Punjab was ignored by governments that focused on personal interests rather than the welfare of the public. However, he stated that the Bhagwant Mann government has rewritten this narrative by investing in the common citizen and tackling ongoing issues such as unemployment, farmer welfare, and infrastructure development.
“Punjab is finally experiencing the kind of leadership it deserves. The Mann government is taking governance to the people below the state level, and then to the villages and homes,” concluded Dhanda.
Emphasis on Education and Employment
Dhanda hailed the Mann government’s education reforms. Efforts to modernise government schools and use new teaching methods, he said, are helping students compete nationally. He also noted the province has taken steps to enhance the creation of jobs and encouraged the youth to create their future in the province rather than abroad.
Public Welfare at the Centre
After emphasising public education, he pointed out the welfare policies the province has introduced. The Mann government has established several programs that benefit farmers, women, and economically disadvantaged members of the community. These programs include a better procurement process for crops, a program to provide direct financial assistance to low-income farmers, and improved accessibility to health care in the community through expanding Aam Aadmi Clinics.
Finally, he said, gaining public trust through transparency and accountability has enabled the government to mobilise the public to partner in the development of the state.
Infrastructure and Green Efforts
Anurag Dhanda also underscored the government’s enhanced focus on the province’s infrastructure development while ensuring environmental sustainability. The Green Punjab Mission, expansion of rural road initiatives, and investments in renewable energy will place Punjab ahead of future options that can achieve a country’s balanced approach to development.
“Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stands at the head of Punjab with an agenda — one that can create balance between progress and sustainability. You can see it. You can see it, many feel hope once again,” said Dhanda.
A Vision for Advancement in Punjab
In his concluding comments, Dhanda expressed his conviction that, if the course of reform continues as it is presently established, Punjab will soon join other leading states in India with respect to governance, education and economic advancement. Dhanda emphasised that the governing Mann government’s commitment to honesty, development and public good has established a corridor for achieving longer-term advancement.
