Bengaluru Viral Video: Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, may have saved thousands of companies with its information technology resources but it failed to save the invaluable life of a 34-year-old mechanic from South Bengaluru.

A resident of Balaji Nagar, Venkataramanan started experiencing severe chest pain. His wife took him on a motorcycle since there was no immediate help available.

How Bengaluru Healthcare System Kept Disappointing Again And Again?

The couple’s first stop was at a private hospital that refused medical treatment to the man since there were no available doctors. At a second hospital, an ECG indicated that the man had suffered a mild heart attack. However, the medical staff at the hospital didn’t bothered initiating any form of emergency treatment or arranging an ambulance.

To add to the woes, the couple met with an accident while travelling again on the motorcycle.

The wife of Venkataramanan can be seen pleading in CCTV footage with passing vehicles for assistance. Her folded hands in desperation were not enough for even a single individual in the heartless city to offer any help while the husband was lying injured on the road.

Eventually, a cab driver intervened and took them to a hospital where Venkataramanan was brought dead on arrival.

Venkataramanan leaves behind a 5-year-old son, an 18-year-old daughter, his wife and mother who had already lost 5 other children. In a gesture of generosity amid this devastating tragedy, the family has donated the eyes of the deceased man.
